A Magical Country Side Engagement Photography Session In Michigan

Taking engagements pictures on a horse farm during Michigan magic hour definitely brings the magic.

When Reagan first reached out about hiring me to be her photographer for her wedding I could immediately tell that she was overwhelmed by the question that that so many newly engaged couples ask. How do I choose the best wedding photographer for my wedding? How can I tell if a photographer is trustworthy?

Reagan reached out to me after spending so much time combing through the countless suggestions on Facebook. Her mom stepped in to help her find a trustworthy photographer. A wedding photographer with great reviews, someone with experience and someone who was not going to take advantage. I’m so glad they reached out because we started the process by taking the most gorgeous pictures with the ones that Reagan loves most. Her fiancé, her horse and her dog.

We went to a few of their favorite spots in Howell first and I’m so glad we did. It was a perfect , peaceful , spring night. Im case you don’t know, Downton Howell has the cutest little downtown area. Definitely worth a visit.

The Horse Farm

But let’s talk about the horse farm. We finished the session by going to this gorgeous horse farm in Pinckney , Michigan. Timber Run Stables.

This was my favorite for obvious reasons. The beauty of it all was incredibly breath taking. But also, this is where I saw magic in the connection between Nathan and Reagan. It was in the way worked together to manage their animals. It was the little discussions they had privately while I was taking photos. How supportive he was of SUCH a strong female and how strong Nathan was beside her.

I can’t finish this post without telling you about this horse named Star. I fell in love with her. IN.LOVE. I look at these photos of her and they take my breath away every time. I’ve thought about her every day since them. What a magical animal. I love her.
