As a WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER in the Ann Arbor Michigan area , I often get called to photograph very beautiful settings. Sometimes the spaces are well manicured, perfectly put together locations but sometimes they are natural, wild & perfectly grown like the Nichols Arboretum in Ann Arbor.
I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful couple’s WEDDING a few weeks back and it couldn’t have happened during a better time. The Arboretum has a stunning display of Peonies that just happened to burst into color the day of their wedding. It was stunning, like a perfect painting with a beautifully orchestrated display of vibrant color, deep shadows and whimsical peaks of light.
The BRIDE & GROOM walked into this place like they’ve belonged there but it was the bride that caught all the looks. She was so beautiful among the field of flowers and her energy was just infectious.
Being so close to 2 people during such an intimate moment is not something that I take lightly. You have to find the right balance of getting close enough to catch their authenticity but far enough to let them enjoy their moment without intruding. Stacey & Todd invited me right in for a few brief moments & their love for each other felt like pure happiness, they left my heart was full for days. I can only imagine the countless moments of love that they will create as they run into their life together but I , for one, am better for having witnessed a few short minutes of it. Congratulations to you both!
