I thought I was cool….. I thought I was cool when I had my engagement photos taken in Detroit. I mean, Chris and I love it there and it was true to who we are but there weren’t a lot of people doing photos in the city at the time.
It seems like engagement sessions are taking on a whole new vibe these days and one of my favorites are the proposal with a helicopter ride. I mean, what’s better than proposing over the breath taking Arial views of Detroit. How romantic is THAT! Just imagine, you’ve had an amazingly romantic dinner at @_takoi_ and head over to the city airport for a suprise helicopter ride. Then, as you’re taking in your city & the moment feels right, you pull out the ring…. she’s going to talk about that for years!!!
There’s a few companies that offer it around the state. @myflighttours is one of the best. They are helping couples who love a bit of adventure and romance have the most epic engagement.
Detroit has so many beautiful backdrops for a romantic engagement session though. I love the riverwalk at sunset or a picnic on belle isle either overlooking the water or at the conservatory. Another favorite is the Monarch Club , the views of the city are amazing. You could keep it simple and watch the sun set over at the z-lot-garage/ . I always see couples up there, with takeout and playing music in their cars. I think it’s so sweet and romantic and oh by the way, just a small entrance fee to that parking garage. You’re welcome 🙂
